While working at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, I further developed the pediatric bereavement program at Riley Hospital for Children, where I also provided staff training on cultural diversity and grief, and compassion fatigue. I worked as Associate Faculty at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) School of Social Work from 2003 until 2016. I have also been in private practice since December 2011, and currently reside and practice in Mountain Home, ID.
In my continued educational pursuits, I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Focused CBT, Gestalt Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Treatment for Sexually Maladaptive Youth, Substance Abuse and Addictions, Play Therapy and Theraplay®, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR). I have produced publications and provided presentations in state professional conferences, churches, community centers and symposia.
